Yes, that’s right, as well as the weekly Assemblies, Daily Prayers, Staffroom Prayers and monthly Parent Newsletter, over the course of the summer term, we have 8 additional resources for you to choose from. We hope these will help your school community to get closer to God during this Year of Prayer that Pope Francis has invited us to be a part of, in the lead up to the Jubilee Year in 2025.

Earth Day Prayer

In this video prayer, children will celebrate God’s wonderful creation, learn a little about some of the main environmental concerns and consider how they can play a positive role in protecting our planet. Earth Day is on Monday 22 April.

St George’s Day

We have created special prayers for each of the UK patron saint feast days – celebrate the Feast of St George on Tuesday 23 April.

The Rosary

May is the month of Mary! The Rosary is a meditative prayer that reflects upon the life, ministry, and death of Jesus and also on His Blessed Mother. As we repeat the familiar prayers, we allow our minds to think about the lives of Jesus and Mary here on earth – a mystery.

A Prayer for SATs Season

This prayer resource can be used at any point throughout the year to help children prepare and pray for their SATs, with a focus on remembering that Jesus is with us and gives us peace.

The Feast of the English Martyrs

The Feast of The English Martyrs is celebrated on 4th May each year, to commemorate a group of lay and religious men and women who stood firm in their faith in the face of religious persecution during the English Reformation between 1535 and 1679. This prayer resource gives a brief background to the English Reformation and a glimpse into the lives and inspirational faith of six of the English Martyrs.

Come, Let Us Adore Him

This year, the Solemnity of Corpus Christi falls on Sunday 2 June. This special prayer resource helps children to use clues from the monstrance to discover why and how we adore Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, and invites them to practise responding to this miracle through a short, guided meditation.

A Prayer for Father’s Day

This year Father’s Day in the UK is Sunday 16 June. This special prayer time can be used in assembly or in the classroom to help children pray for and appreciate the fathers and father figures in their lives.

Our Pope in Rome

This prayer time can be used to coincide with the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul at the end of June. This special prayer resource focuses on the legacy of St Peter, the first Pope. It simply explains apostolic succession, what happens when a Pope dies or retires, and highlights the lives of the three most recent Popes.

In our weekly Wednesday Collective Worship emails we feature the upcoming ‘themed’ resources, or you can go directly to the Content Library where all of our themed resources are located.
